Our Comprehensive French Bulldog Puppy Health Guarantee

Our Promise of Health, Happiness, and Peace of Mind

Choosing a French Bulldog puppy is an investment in love and companionship. We believe that investment should be protected. Our comprehensive Health Guarantee is our solemn promise to you that we have done everything in our power to provide you with a healthy, vibrant, and well-cared-for puppy.

We stand confidently behind the health of every French Bulldog puppy that leaves our network of trusted breeders. This guarantee is a reflection of our commitment to ethical breeding practices, preventative veterinary care, and the lifelong well-being of the dogs we place.

What Our Health Guarantee Covers

Our guarantee is designed to give you complete peace of mind during your first year together.

1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee

Your puppy is guaranteed against any congenital or genetic disease that is fatal or severely affects the quality of life, as certified by two licensed veterinarians. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Cardiac Conditions: Such as severe congenital heart disease.
  • Kidney/Liver Disease: Including congenital renal or hepatic issues.
  • Orthopedic Disorders: Such as severe hip dysplasia (in young dogs) or luxating patellas (Grade 3 or higher).
  • Neurological Conditions: Including severe degenerative myelopathy or epilepsy.
  • Eye Conditions: Such as progressive retinal atrophy (PRA) or juvenile cataracts.

Veterinarian Health Certificate

Every puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian no more than 72 hours prior to going to their new home. You will receive a copy of this official Health Certificate, which confirms:

  • The puppy is in good general health.
  • The puppy is free from signs of contagious disease.
  • The puppy is free from internal and external parasites (has been dewormed).
  • The puppy is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

Your Responsibilities as the New Owner

A health guarantee is a partnership. To ensure this guarantee remains valid, we ask you to take the following essential steps:

  1. Veterinary Examination: You must take your new puppy to a licensed veterinarian of your choice for a comprehensive health examination within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) of receiving your puppy. Failure to do so will void the guarantee. You must provide us with a copy of the vet’s report.
  2. Maintain Preventative Care: You must provide your puppy with ongoing, timely preventative care, including all recommended booster vaccinations, regular deworming, and monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention as advised by your veterinarian.
  3. Proper Nutrition & Environment: Provide your puppy with high-quality, age-appropriate nutrition, fresh water at all times, and a safe, clean living environment. Do not over-exercise young puppies, especially in hot or humid weather.
  4. Spay/Neuter Agreement: If you purchased your puppy as a pet (on a limited registration/spay-neuter agreement), you must have the procedure performed by a licensed veterinarian by the age of 6 months. Failure to do so can void the guarantee.

How to Make a Health Guarantee Claim

While we take every precaution to ensure your puppy’s health, we understand that issues can sometimes arise. If your veterinarian diagnoses your puppy with a condition covered under our guarantee, please follow these steps:

  1. Notify Us Immediately: Contact us within 24 hours of receiving the diagnosis from your veterinarian.
  2. Provide Documentation: You must provide us with a written statement and all relevant diagnostic records from two (2) licensed veterinarians confirming the genetic condition. The veterinarians must be unrelated and not employed by the same practice.
  3. Resolution Options: Upon verification of the claim, we will offer one of the following solutions:
    • Replacement Puppy: We will work with you to select a new, healthy puppy of equal value from our network, subject to availability.
    • Refund: We may offer a partial or full refund, determined on a case-by-case basis.

Please note: We are not responsible for any veterinary bills you incur. Our responsibility is limited to the terms of this guarantee.

What Is Not Covered by This Guarantee

To maintain clarity and fairness, our guarantee does not cover the following:

  • Illnesses or injuries sustained after the puppy leaves our care (e.g., accidents, ingesting foreign objects, viral/bacterial infections).
  • Common conditions not deemed life-threatening or severely life-altering, such as allergies, skin conditions, cherry eye, or reverse sneezing (common in brachycephalic breeds).
  • Conditions resulting from improper diet, neglect, or an owner’s failure to provide timely veterinary care.
  • Life-disqualifying cosmetic imperfections such as an underbite, overbite, or color mismatches.
  • Intestinal parasites (coccidia, giardia) as these are common in puppies and are treated prior to departure; re-infection can occur from the environment.
  • Hernias (umbilical or inguinal), as these are often a minor, correctable issue and not considered a genetic defect.
